Tandoori Specialities

A barbecued clay oven preperation, one of the best amongst aromatic cuisine. These dishes have been marinated in yoghurt with tandoori herbs and spices, then barbecued over flames of burning charcoal in a clay oven. This method of cooking preserves all the goodness of the food and imparts a lovely aroma and flavour. Served with fresh salad and yoghurt relish. Instant clay oven prepared nan breads are highly recommended with these dishes.

Biryani

It is a combination of some of our oriental medium spices mixed with fragrant rice (basmati) and slowly fried in ghee (clarified butter). Served with a medium spiced vegetable curry. Mushroom can also be mixed with any other dishes on request for an extra 50p.

Balti Dishes

All the dishes are juicy and moist, comprising of cooked onion and tomatoes, flavoured with green peppers, herbs and freshly ground garam massala to give the exotic aroma. Cooked carefully in a work the Benapolian style of sizzling hot iron pot. Highly recommended. It is commonly eaten with a naan bread or tandoori roti.

House Specialities

These are double preparation dishes. Firstly they have been marinated in yoghurt with tandoori herbs and spices, barbecued in a clay oven over burning charcoal then cooked in a special sauce as individually described.

Curry

Cooked with dozens of secret medium spices, freshly ground daily by our experienced chef.

Madras and Vindaloo

Both of these dishes are quite hot. Vindaloo is cooked with potatoes and a lot hotter than madras.

Ceylon and Phall

These are extremely hot. Ceylon cooked with coconut, it is hotter than madras. Phall is one of the hottest. Only prepared for those daring hot curry eaters, hot enough to lift the roof off your mouth.

Korma

Very mild creamy curry sweetly flavoured with almonds and coconut. Highly recommended for non curry eaters and for those keen on creamy curries.

An Indian special occasion dish, comprising of cooked onions and fresh tomatoes, flavoured with green peppers & oriental herbs, medium spiced & juicy. Highly recommended for everybody.

Rogan

A double preperation dish first being cooked in a medium sauce, then garnished with ghee, fried tomatoes, onions and green peppers.

Saag

Dupiaza

Medium spiced with chopped onions, peppers & tomatoes, served from a sizzling hot iron pot.

Mushroom

Medium curry cooked with sliced mushrooms. Extra mushrooms can be mixed with any other dishes on request for an extra 40p.
